Dare To Dream

Hey Anna here!! :) I hope your all having a great week so far!!

OK... So I just started reading Dare To Dream By John C. Maxwell for school. So this is alittle bit of the book.

U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt said: Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to tank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

Someone once said, “Don’t let yourself be pressured into thinking that your dreams or your talents are not prudent. They were never meant to be prudent. They were meant to bring joy and fulfillment to your life.” What’s the worst thing that could happen if you peruse your dream and don’t achieve it? You could be where you are now. What’s the best thing that could happen if you pursue your dream and don’t achieve it? You could find yourself in new territory on the threshold of a new dream.

Don't you like me????

YAY!! I remembered that today is the day I have to post!! Aren't you proud of me?? ^_^ Actually that's what I'm going to be talking about today: looking for confidence and acceptance from others. >_<

Now for me, this area can present alot of problems; if I think that anyone ever has even the slightest problem with me, I tend to feel unhappy and distressed. So I was just praying and thinking about confidence this week, and I realized that I should find my self-confidence in God!!

And one of the ways we can do that is by reading what the Bible says about us:

Psalms 144:15

Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.

Psalms 5:12
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield

Psalms 34:19

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

Psalms 32:1
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered

Romans
8:37
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

As you can see, the Bible says that we're conquerers, we're blessed, and we're righteous!! And God is the only one who can, and will, accept you just the way you are and love you inspite of your faults or problems!! That's why we should look to God for acceptance and high self-esteem; because He's the only one who can give us exactly what we need! God will always think well of us!

So if you find that you have low self-esteem, or you realize that you look to others for confidence, stop, and start looking to God! How? By reading what the Bible says about you and believing it!

Hope this helped! Have a good weekend!

Abby

P.S. Oh yeah and by the way I'll be out of town from the 14th to the 28th so I won't be able to post!! <:( sorry!!!

Habits

Hey!!!! Anna here. Today is a great day lets make the most of it!!

So I’ll be talking about Habits today!! They can make you or break you.

Let’s discover what habits we have, and which ones we need to change.
Questions to ask yourself:
1.What are my bad habits?
2.What are my good habits?
3.Which habits take me away from my purpose in life?
4.Which habits bring me closer to my purpose in life?
5.How is this habit helping me?

Now if your like me then you discovered TONS of bad habits you have lol : ).

Lets start changing the bad habits into good habits today! Don’t waste your time, your never going to get this time back! And you can do it!!!

Philippians 4:13 say:
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

Now What habits do you need to change?

Ok that’s great!! Let replace these bad habits with some good habits.

What kind of habits will bring you closer to who you are called to be?

Start making these habits. Make the plan and start changing your life for the better today! You know you want to and You know you can!

It most likely will be very hard but remember, you can do it with God’s help!!!

So what are you waiting for GO FOR IT!!!!

Turn it up!!

Ok well today is the day that I'm supposed to post; at least I'm timely today! ^_^ The only problem is that I don't know what I should post about. So I'm just going to start typing and see what comes out, mmk?

It's amazing how much music can effect your mood isn't it? I remember that when I felt sad or angry, listening to certain types of music (which will remain nameless.. >_<) would either help me stay in that mood, or help me feel even worse. But what I realized was, I never seem to remember that music can also help put you in a really good mood; even help you to come out of a bad mood. I know that music helps you also to praise God.

Psalms 87:7
At all the festivals, the people will sing, "The source of my life is in Jerusalem!"

Psalms 92:1
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,

Psalms 95:2
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Psalms 98:4
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;

Psalms 108:1
My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.

I've found that listening to cheerful music helps me to stay focused on God, and not get sidetracked but despair, anger, or depression. In a way, it helps me to do what God wants, because I'm not bogged down in fear, doubt, or worry (especially if I'm listening to a really good christian song).

So my advice for you iiiis: try to listen to more upbeat, uplifting music this week!! Perhaps you'll find that you're less depressed, or more productive!

Have a good week!! ^_^
